Daphne Plessner

Daphne Plessner began studying painting at an early age before attending art college in Vancouver, Canada (Emily Carr College of Art).  She soon transferred to the Akademie der Bildenden und Kunste in Munich, Germany to study with the artist Robin Page, who was one of the early members of the Fluxus movement. She moved to London and has continued to paint full time and exhibit her work.  She completed a Philosophy degree from the University of London where she concentrated on aesthetics. Since 1997, she has been lecturing at what is now called the University of the Arts London where she teaches art theory and is the course director for a graduate certificate in Book Arts.
