jorg oberfell
Jörg Oberfell was born 1976 in St. Georgen in Black Forest, Germany. He studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, at École Nationale Nationale des Beaux-Arts Lyon, and in 2007 he graduated with an MFA from Goldsmiths College University of London.
Since 2003 his work has been shown in exhibitions across Germany including the international shows 9th Triennal Kleinplastik (small sculptures) 2004, Fellbach and Die Schönheit der Chance (The beauty of the chance), Institute of Modern Art, Nuremberg.
In 2005 Obergfell was invited for the project Frischzelle 1 in Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and for a solo show in Kunstverein Offenburg. For each of these exhibitions publications were produced.
Most recently the artist presented his work in Paul Smith’s window display in London as well as in the group exhibitions Black Powder + White Party, Kyunghee University Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul, and Jungle Juice, galleryem, Seoul.
Jörg Obergfell lives and works currently in London.
