lia anna hennig
Born in 1981 in Frankfurt am Main, Lia Anna Hennig attended the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main and the École nationale superiéure des Beaux-Arts, Paris before graduating with an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London in 2006.
Since her graduation she has been involved in several exhibition projects nationally and internationally.
She is currently showing in the group show ‘Out of the Frying Pan…’, Espace Uhoda, Liège in Belgium.
Hennig’s work was recently shown at Peles Empire, in the Mackey House in Los Angeles.
Other exhibitions in 2007 include: ‘Videonale 11’, Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany, ‘ArtFutures 2007’, CAS,
London and ‘Draw me a Video’, Alexia Goethe Gallery, London.
Her work was also exhibited in ‘Three’s a crowd’, Tram Depot Gallery, London, 2006; ‘Quick and Dirty’, Oxo Tower Bargehouse, London, 2006 and ‘The Way to a Man’s Heart is through his Stomach’, Peles Empire, London, 2006.
In 2005 Hennig’s work was featured in ‘Heute’, Städelmuseum, Frankfurt; ‘Real Presence – Floating Sides’, Venice and ‘6 Richtige, 3 Falsche und 1 Bild des Monats’, Kunstverein, Marburg.
The artist lives and works in London and Berlin.
