Max Hymes
Max Hymes was born in Chester, UK in 1974 and studied a BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, London and went on to complete an MFA at The Slade School Of Art.
Whilst still a Post-graduate at the Slade, Max Hymes was selected for the New Contemporaries, showing in London, Liverpool and Newcastle. He continued to exhibit in various group shows in London and also abroad including Modern Love at the Hobbypop Museum, Düsseldorf and Heart and Soul at the Sandroni Rey Gallery, Los Angeles.
During 2007 Max was awarded solo shows at Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Glasgow, Bearspace Gallery, London, and Aqffin Gallery, London. He also exhibited in group exhibitions Tech-Mac-Mayacom in Tokyo and ‘Etc..’ at Amagerfaelledvej Art project in Copenhagen. He is soon to exhibit in a touring show of British Art beginning at Galerie Polaris, Paris.
Max Hymes currently lives and works in London.
