Tu, Pei-Shih was born in Miaoli, Taiwan, 1981. She graduated with an MFA from Goldsmiths College in 2007, and currently lives and works in London. Her drawings and animations, have been exhibited internationally including at the 11th International Biennale Print and Drawing Exhibition in the prestigious National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, which was in 2003. In the same year, she was selected as the youngest artist-in-residence at Stock20, Art Network of the Railway Warehouses in Taiwan. In 2004, her work was collected by Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan.
Exploring the links between fantasy and menace in contemporary human conditions, her recent animation works have been shown extensively throughout Germany, Spain, Sweden, Greece, and the Netherlands.
